Christine and I are back to sifting through submissions and will be happy to hear from interesting poets and artists. For information on how to submit, go here. The Spring issue will appear both in print (combined with the inaugural issue) and online. If you’d like an idea of the kind of work we enjoy, then have a read through the journal.

The inaugural issue can be read and viewed at our new web site. Many, many thanks to all of those who have contributed to our first issue. Happy reading.

The reading period for issue two will begin January 1 and close February 8 2009.

And Christine and I would like to thank all of you who sent in your work. The support has been absolutely fantastic — we’ve received hundreds of poems and some great artwork and are in the process of putting together the first issue. All being well, we’ll launch at the beginning of December. Get those champagne bottles ready *grin*.

We wanted to let everyone know how thrilled we are about the poems and art we have received to date. We’ve been very impressed with the high quality of the poems, photographs, and paintings we have had the pleasure to read and view, and are pleased with how the submissions tie in with our vision of the magazine.

If your modern poems come alive on the page, or if your art has a vision that speaks, please send us your work to ouroborosreview [at] gmail [dot] com. We’re accepting submissions for the first issue until November 10.

Christine Swint and Jo Hemmant are pleased to announce a new poetry and art journal called ouroboros. Here on the blog we will be posting calls for submissions, guidelines and deadlines.

The reading period for our first issue will be from September 5 until November 10.

This issue will be hot off the presses in December. We intend to publish an online review quarterly and will offer a print magazine twice a year.

We hope you’ll join us in making this journal a great success — go, read the submissions page.
